The Purple and Gold

My full-time employer’s flagship alumni magazine, which is produced 2-3 times per year and sent to about 30,000 members. I am the Editor-in-Chief and manage the magazine process from brainstorming initial content to interviewing and writing, to the final edit.

Green Hills Lifestyle Magazine

I was the lone feature writer for Green Hills Lifestyle Magazine over several issues when I lived in Nashville, TN. I covered everything from fine dining to historic hotels to local businesses to electric buses. This specific issue is one of my favorites.

Bishop + Ivy Blog

I am on retainer as a Marketing Consultant for Bishop + Ivy Design Studio, based in Dallas, TX. This blog is one of many things I write for Bishop + Ivy, including a bi-monthly newsletter. I also manage media relations, social content, and all paid advertising.

Keeper of the Flame (Release)

In late 2023, I was approached by a team developing a documentary about Jack Healey, better known as “Mr. Human Rights.” They wanted to drum up some attention around the documentary’s primetime debut on PBS, so I worked up a press release for them.

T&D World

This was an intensive research project I took on as a freelance writer. It was the biggest of a three-part dive into how utility companies can help achieve a smarter, cleaner future in America. Other portions of the project included web work and a whitepaper.

Hoodline

Street Soccer USA is a homeless advocacy program in San Francisco I volunteered for. I pitched and wrote the piece linked below about a new Street Soccer facility to Hoodline.com. I also wrote a two-part Q&A with a Grammy-winning artist for the site (Part 1) (Part 2).
